Council deadline extended to 23/01 & Proposal Documents

Great news – Further to our request for an extension, we have had confirmation by e-mail from Cardiff Council that the Pontcanna Pine planning application [Application 11/1213DCI]:

“will not be reported to January 11th Planning Committee and that it is more likely to be considered at the 8th February Committee… Please submit any representation you would wish to make on the application before the 23rd January 2012.”

If you wish to download the documents for this application please click on these links:

Plans and elevations Dec 2011
Retail Statement Dec 2011
Design & Access Statement Dec 2011
Transport Statement Dec 2011

We are holding a meeting at St Catherine’s Church Hall, Kings Road at 7.30pm on Thursday 12th Jan where we can discuss the revised application, please come along if you can. If you are not able to come and wish to contact the council please write/email by 23/01/12 to: Development Management City Development, City Hall, Cardiff CF10 3ND.
Email: developmentmanagement@cardiff.gov.uk

What else can you do? Please email us photos which demonstrate current parking and traffic issues – we can use these as part of our submission to council on the 23rd January.

Triple parking, a lorry filling the road with an Iceland van behind and a queue of traffic

Quote from the lorry driver: "We complain to the depot all the time about having to drive down these roads, it would be madness to have a supermarket here!"

Meanwhile thank you very much to anyone who has already written to the Council.

Many thanks -

The Pontcanna Pine team
